Private listings service

As a landlord, you can list your property for students looking for private accommodation on our private listings service for:

  • long term - greater than 4 months, or
  • short term - less than 4 months.

First you will need to register as a landlord.

PLEASE NOTE ALL NEW REGISTRATIONS AFTER 9TH OCTOBER 2010 NEED TO REGISTER ON NEW LISTING SERVICE.

Register as a landlord

Please read and agree to our terms and conditions before registering with us as a landlord

You will need to provide a User ID, a password and a valid email address to access this service online. Without a valid email address you will not be able to register as a landlord and list your properties.

To register as a landlord and list your property you are required to agree to the following terms and conditions:

  • You are responsible for ensuring that your personal details including contact numbers and email address are kept up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping the property details up-todate. This includes managing the property status flag.
  • Your property listing will remain active for a period of six weeks from the date of availability. After this period your property listing will no longer be active and its status will change to 'Expired'.
  • You are required to re-list your property listing after it expires and is still available.
  • When your property is taken, you are required to change its status to 'let'. If you fail to change its status, you will continue to receive telephone calls from students.
  • If you wish to suspend or remove your property listing from our system, you are required to change its status to withdraw.
  • We will publish your contact details (first name & the telephone number for student to contact) and property details on the Online Listing Service and after the details have been reviewed by us.

In order to follow best industry practice, the University would like to advise that all landlords who place properties on the UTS Listings Service are expected to use the Residential Tenancy Agreement and Condition Report issued by the Real Estate Institute of NSW (view the sample report, PDF 508KB).

Need help with registration? Download How to register or manage property details instructions (PDF 1.5MB).

The Residential Tenancy Agreement document can be obtained from the Real Estate Institute of NSW office in Sydney, at the following address:

PO Box A624 Sydney South NSW 1235

Tel: (02) 9264 2343

Please note that prospective tenants will be made aware of this requirement.
